How can we create outdoor spaces that inspire young children? This session will focus on the outdoor environment and how we can stimulate rich and rewarding learning experiences for children. We will explore what makes the outdoors special, with a particular look at the type of environment that might help open-ended play and exploration. We will have the opportunity to share with colleagues the impact of any provocations to the outdoors we have made in our settings.
· To increase staff confidence in allowing children to assess risk for themselves
· To be inspired with a variety of practical ideas
· To take back and adapt for your own setting
· To create a plan of what you will do to your area to enhance the experience for all children
