Here at BEYTH we keep hearing about how children are struggling with their emotions and regulation, staff are experiencing so many stresses, and managers are trying to balance everyone’s needs during these challenging times.
In response to current needs, we have some wonderful CPD courses coming up in Term 3 which focus on supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and self-regulation. We hope you can find the time to book on.

We cannot emphasize enough the benefits of effective supervision in the EYs at the moment – Supervision that is supportive and restorative as well as being about management and development. Our CPD Introduction to Staff Supervision will look at what is emotionally intelligent leadership, the importance of knowing your supervisee and showing empathy, the crucial ‘C’s, essential skills in coaching, as well as considering what we can learn from Nancy Kline’s ‘Time to Think’.
You can book this as an individual session or as part of our Leadership training bundle, starting on 3rd February, including 3 short courses to support and develop EYs leaders. This Leadership training will be delivered by our expert Lucy Driver, Head of BEYTH and St. Paul’s Nursery and Children’s Centre.
Tamsin Grimmer will join us as a guest trainer in February to deliver her session on Developing a Loving Pedagogy in the EYs. Tamsin will help us explore what we mean by love and loving in EYs, consider what constitutes a loving pedagogy and how we can help children to feel loved in our settings.

Finally, we have listened to practitioners and we have rescheduled our Loving Literacy CPD for March, with a FREE Book Talk session on 7th February to share some resources in time for World Book Day!
